Comments Invited: Campus Policy on Weapons on University Property

The Weapons on University Property policy has been updated, and the draft policy is now available for formal review and comment. The draft policy is available at https://ucla.box.com/weaponspolicy. I urge you to read it and submit your questions and comments to weaponspolicy@ucpd.ucla.edu by November 20, 2015.
The draft policy updates a number of matters, including:
- What weapons are prohibited,
- What locations are covered by the policy,
- Department and individual responsibilities,
- The form used to request an exemption, and
- Statutory references.
The policy is intended to help all members of the UCLA community understand and comply with their responsibilities regarding weapons on University property. Thank you for taking the time to review it and provide your feedback.
